I have had alot of emails and comment requests asking me if I was willing to build a site for readers. If so, what would I charge? So, I thought I would post this so you all have an idea of what is involved, and you can decide if its worth paying for, or simply learning how to do it yourself.

As you read this and begin to understand the cost and time involved, I hope it becomes clear what is involved on the build. As much as I prefer and TRY to help everyone learn the process themselves, there are some who simply prefer to have it done, at least once.

Outsourcing an Affiliate Niche Site Build

When you look at what you do on a site, it really doesn’t seem like alot, but it is a considerable time consuming process, especially if you aren’t equipped with the right software, or dont have the skillset yet to do it efficiently. Once you add in fixed costs associated with it – this really isnt a bad deal!

When I was asked by one reader last week, I quoted her $620, which to me, is very affordable for the service involved! She actually said – “Thats Appalling, and you should be Ashamed”… Whoa – here’s a reality check for ya!

The list below details what is involved in building a +/- 50 page WordPress driven Niche Affiliate Site, ready to launch.

Researching the Niche Market and Advising for or Against. (Usually 1-2 hours, several emails)

Building the site BluePrint for Launch. (RankSpanker Report, 1-2 Hours)

Outsourcing the Content for You (+/- 40, 250 word articles) for the Site launch. (Fixed cost: $200-$250)

Sourcing and Editing all the images for the Product / Item reviews. (4-6 Hours)

Installing the WordPress Backend on your Host Account (-1 Hour)

Install and Configure the Plugins in WordPress (1-2 Hours)

Configure your Chosen platform to display eBay Auctions (phpBay, or other WordPress plugin)

Create all Static Pages on the site: About, Contact, Privacy, Favorite places” (2-3 Hours)

Create Guide Index Pages (Built Into theme)

Create Reviews / Articles Index Page (Built Into theme)

Create all Guides and Guide Images. (2-3 Hours)

Create all Reviews / Product Articles, Include Product Images. (4-6 Hours)

Install Customized Arthemia Theme with Your Own Logo, and finally… (30 Minutes)

Launch Site! (Fixed Cost: $30)

14 Individual steps… that sound easy enough right? But when you consider I quoted $620 and she was actually OFFENDED, I decided to put this post for everyone to see… and it also gives me a place to simply refer people to now.

Why The Heck Does it Cost So Much?

Lets truly break down that $620 cost…

Fixed Costs – $230-$280 on Content and Launch Package.

Labor – 17-25 Hours of My Time

Additional Labor – 2-4 Hours of email support, which you WILL need and I am KNOWN for giving.

So, when you take out the fixed costs of roughly $250, that leaves $370 for the labor side of it, which is going to consume 19-25 hours of my time!

How Soon Will You Earn It Back?

Since this is usually the NEXT question I hear… I will tell you what I tell everyone else. There ARE no Guarantees you will earn a penny! All I can do is provide a SOLID platform to get your site off the ground, where it goes from there is in your hands! As long as you follow the N1Way Guide and continue to work on the forward and backward marketing, you should succeed… but if you just look at stats for 6 months, you won’t get much from it.

Its like a car – you can have a custom hot rod built for you, but it will never go ANYWHERE if you don’t actually get in, turn the key and drive it! This is NO different than one of my own sites and if I don’t continually monitor, mold and make timely changes to my own, they won’t earn anything either!

If ANY of the site owners I have built sites for care to post their comments as to its value to YOU, feel free to do so.

RankSpankers is Coming to Life!

On another subject – I have decided to package quite a bit of my knowledge into a Members ONLY website aptly named, RankSpankers! At this point, the site will launch with 2 main modules in place, and 5 more on the table for monthly posting.

It is NOT a monthly fee service, I am monthly-fee’d out myself and get turned off by paying a monthly fee for anything nowadays! But as of yet… I truly haven’t decided how it will be put together.

My plan is to get the beta out of the way over the next 2 weeks and I have a small group that are going to help me finalize the first two modules:

Niche Site BluePrint Builder – 6 Training Sections – 16 Video Screencasts!

Niche Site Structure Optimization – 5 Training Section – 12 Video Screencasts!

Along with these two completed training modules – there are several individual modules already in place, like “How to Get the Best Domain Names”, etc. The site will also feature a Members Only forum, where we can share “one on one”, or “one to all” strategies, without fear and worry of pissing off Google Gods, or other marketing Guru’s.

There is ALOT going on in the RankSpankers backend right now – which I will share with you all as the month progresses… but one thing I will assure everyone, its NOT the “Same Old Crap” regurgitated in a different way!

The first full month for my first N1Way Guide site is now in the books and it’s time to take a brief look at the performance of the Golf Putter Guide site. I also want to mention that although my plan was to shut down entries into the site contest on August 31st, I have decided to leave it open, right up until the night before the winner is chosen! I do have a reason for this… which I just cannot share at this point. Trust me..

What Were My 30-Day Goals

My ONLY goals for the first 30 days of the site resolved around getting the content indexed in search and starting to see a trickle of traffic to the site. I truly had no revenue goals, or even ranking goals in the first 30… since I realize that a new website takes time to gain foothold on the web. If you recall, the 5 guides and 25 product reviews are part of the launch of the site, so they really cannot be counted as completed goals.

Following along with the N1Way Guide, I really shouldn’t even be looking at, or changing anything at this point except forward and backwards referencing. Aside from checking stats once a week, updates to the site should be left to the 90 day point. When I originally launched the site, I only published 3 guides and 35+ reviews… so I will go ahead and make active the remainder of the guides and reviews this week. Just to be clear, there was no technical purpose for my method… other than adding my own twist on the guides method, and trickling in an update every now and again, but changing NOTHING else.

Per the Guide: “Over Advertising or Constant Tinkering will Cost You in the Long Run”

Goals -

Have site fully Indexed

Begin to see trickle traffic on longer phrases

First Full Month Site Metrics

Data is reported from Google Analytics, Google site:domain.com search, cPanel, ePN, and

61 Indexed Pages - this includes ALL guides, categories, reviews and supplementary pages like Contact, About, etc.

2345 Total Unique Visitors – this is skewed by the referrals from here, forums, and other places I have discussed the site.

3330 Visits - Average 107/day

12,713 Total Pageviews – Average 410/day

3.81 Pages per Visit

Since these numbers are skewed by referrals from here and other inbound linked sites, the real numbers I am going to look at are the search generated metrics.

6329 – Search Engine Driven Pageviews - These come from Google (71%), Ask (11%), Yahoo (9%), AOL MSN/Bing/Live (6%) and various others (3%)

587 KeyPhrases made up 329 different words.

31% of ALL search generated traffic came from 10 different, 2-3 word phrases!

42% Overall bounce rate (That’s good)

41% bounce from search traffic (That’s good!)

I REFUSE to post anything about how the site ranks in search for specific phrases, been there, done that, already been spanked by search engines for it in the past! But you are all welcome to go to the site and check the various categories for yourself.

Now for the nuts and bolts of why we do this… earnings broke down at roughly 60/40, with 60% coming from banners, 40% from ePN. Keep in mind, that a single banner transaction can earn quite a bit more, in this case, $15-$30, versus smaller amounts for purchases through ePN. Also remember that ALL of these ePN numbers are skewed due to clicks from here, forums, and other referral links that were non-shopper visits.

$69.86 – ePN Earnings (New EPC is only .06, I assume due to all the stray clicks, as all but one purchase has been right on target!)

$93.40 – (3) Separate Site Banners

Total: $163.26

Expectations – Plans for the next 45-60 Days

As long as I continue with my forward and backwards marketing as mentioned in the N1Way Guide, the site should easily continue to earn steadily. However, I also realize that looking at the Google insight Trends for “Putters”, demand in the market itself is at the exact point of dropping very sharply, and continuing to do for the next 60-90 days. In other words… search demand is about to fall off, until golfing season again!

I will go back into the site over the next 2-3 weeks and add the remaining reviews I have set in the system, as well as publishing a few timely guides I have planned.

Replicating the Process Across 9 More Sites

In the first 30 days of this being live, I have also launched 3 others of my own. I am working toward eliminating some of the sites that I just don’t feel are going to perform well in the new ePN Quality Click Pricing model, as is evident by the early trends I see. More on that in a future post…

In the next 3-4 weeks, I have 4 additional sites in various stages planning, building and launching, and once again… I will share more about that with you all very soon!

How Is Your First Build Going?

Well, I launched it over the weekend and thought I would share the methodology behind the site. I also decided that its just not worth talking about how to do something without showing the actual site to everyone, it just leaves too many unanswered questions! Besides, I blogged about the niche on my Niche Store Builder site in January, when I talked about How to Find Great Domain Names. Yes, its been collecting dust since then…

I chose a .net domain for the primary domain (carbikeracks.net) but I also have carbikecarriers.com, pointed at it as well. If I ever decide to sell the site, I will simply 301 the .com to replace the .net and give it a few weeks to reindex. This is ONLY because people prefer .coms.

What Were My MAIN Objectives within WordPress?

You all know very well, I am trying to do my best to stick to the N1Way Guide Motto – “Do Only as Much as Needed – and Nothing More“, well in my case, that involved a bit of backend setup, to make sure I could also follow along with later chapters, mainly, easily replicating my efforts and building more sites! This first site was simply a learning process for me, to hone the exact methods – and dig through other sites MUCH quicker!

As I started building the site, you will recall that in the building with wordpress post I had a few main objectives:

Write my Review Posts ONCE – and Use them Over and Over again!

Use Custom fields as often as possible – to avoid having to do things twice!

Use the custom image files to automatically generate the thumbnails and different sizes needed for the different sections. (Upload 1 image, it resizes automatically)

Do it all as quickly as possible to move onto other sites!

To that end, I used POSTS for almost everything on the site! Along with posts, I mixed in the variants of the way people look for the items, with TAGS. I ended up with a perfect combination of categories and tag-categories to build several menus and custom areas within the site.

So – the Reviews are Mainly sorted by [BRAND] – then I used the TAGS for [STYLES] that people commonly search for.

Posts – [brand model bike rack review] Tags – [2 bikes rack, roof bike rack, hitch bike rack, etc]

Within the posts themselves, I used custom fields for both the images AND to call the search functions of the phpBay affiliate plugin. The result.. is that once I get my articles back, I can post them, insert the image link, the keyphrase to search for, and I am done. Less than 2 minutes per post!

The Most Important Part – EVERYTHING Else is Automatic! (Well, not writing the guides)

Which Theme Did I Use?

Like Adam and Kelvin in the N1Way Guide, I used the free Arthemia theme. Unlike the way they built theirs however, I spent several hours inside the code to make sure everything works like I want. As you see when you browse the site:

Home Page – Shows the 3 latest Guides and 5 Latest Reviews… with thumbnail images.

Sidebar shows “Top 5 Picks” for specific racks I chose to feature.

The Main Menu is made up of 2 custom pages (Buying Guides, Reviews), 1 main category (The drop list in Reviews). Then a separate function to pull in my Tag Hierarchy (Types of Bike racks).

The individual posts, have the post content, the listings, and at the bottom… links to all other reviews in that specific category. (I decided NOT to show additional thumbnails, on these landing pages, there is only 1 set of images I want visitors clicking on)

Note: I have already tried sharing the theme with my own edits in place with others. Unfortunately, there is too much customization that relies on knowing some technical stuff in Wordpress, and in the cases I have tried to help, I ended up installing the theme and doing all of the configuration myself. Its just too technical! That said… I am more than happy to share this theme… but if you need installation help, I have to charge a fee of $30. It takes me a bit of time to do it, which includes changing some of the way your site may already work, but does NOT include a logo or anything else.

Before I can do anything… You MUST have at least 2 guides and 5 reviews in place. Just hit the contact page to request an install and we can go from there.

I don’t like doing this – but posting what needs to be changed is not going to work in this case, and I will be overwhelmed with support requests. I DO PLAN on recording a screencast over the next week or two when I setup the next few sites, to show how its done for those of you who cannot afford to pay for this.

Where am I At with the N1Way Guide?

At this point – I have just launched the site! Literally!

There are currently (2) Guides, (1) Top List, and 25 Reviews.

I have 3 additional guides ready to publish, 1 a week for the next 3 weeks.

I STILL have to link my guides to my reviews, more on that later… its actually planned like this for me!

I have 15 additional reviews, ready to trickle feed over the next 3 weeks.

My sitemap is in my robots.txt file.

I submitted the site to DMOZ.org to attempt and get listed.

I have Alex running through a Site Launch Package for me.

Aside from a little bit of cleaning up within the posts and pages for things like meta-keywords or some page title optimization, its done…

Whats Next for this Site and Other Sites?

Taking the Outsourcing your Work section of the N1Way Guide to heart:

I have an Affordable Content Writer with Rob at TextBroker

I have a WordPress Theme I can easily use over and over with minimal changes

I have Alex Spreading the News of my Site Launch

Which leaves me with just a few things to come up with…

Find My Markets in TeraPeak

Develop My Site Launch Report of articles and send to Rob

Find Free images using Manufacturer Stock or Non-Rights Managed Images in Google Image search

Publish the Posts

Launch the Site

Move on for 30-90 days!

In total, I have roughly 12 hours of development time into the theme and content, and $186 into the cost. ($140 into content, $30 into the launch package, and $16 into domains.) While I realize the cost side may be alot for others, as each new site is developed… they should begin generating income almost immediately, and offset my costs.

How are Your Sites Coming Along?

I have had TONS of questions roll in about the Putter Site, and thought I would address several in one post. They range from keyword research to content generation and of course, template and design questions.

FAQ About the Development of the First N1Way Guide Site

Q: Why Didn’t You Use the Theme Provided in the Guide?
A: I Didn’t like it!

Which leads to the explanation WHY I didn’t like it! You see, I am a code guy, I have been for 15 years… and when I started building the site, I did actually use the provided theme at first! Once I saw that the css file was 1900+ lines of code and somewhat built for their own purpose, I moved to a different theme.

Just to be clear – there is NOTHING WRONG with the theme they provided, its just that I chose a preferred method of using a non-re-purposed theme, and modifying it to my own needs. The css file used on the current site is just over 900 lines long, versus 1900, and just loads quicker.

Q: Why Does the GPG Site seem to Load Very Fast?
A: I am also an Optimization Freak! (OCD as it was recently referred)

Explain: When I go through the files, I do everything I can to reduce the load on the server. I remove extra code spaces, I optimize my images… and one thing I’m not sure I want to explain… I reduce the footprint of the database. You know how when you install BANS, it uses that large database .sql file to pre populate all of the data in all of the eBay categories? Well, I eliminate all of the ones that will never be used as soon as the site is built! In this case, the database is more than 27,500 records smaller than others! That may only equate to a second here and there, but every split second counts!

I do not want to step-by-step walk through it here, but will if you all want… just comment. It Involves:

1 – Giving all your pages a sort order value
2 – Using the MySQL Database tool to delete ALL category records WITHOUT a Sort Value!

Sounds easy – but one wrong hash mark and you are starting from scratch, losing ALL YOUR DATA! The plus side is that your database table goes from 2.7 megabytes in size, to less than 50k!

Q: Has the Site Made Any Sales Yet?
A: Yes – 6 to be Exact, and one was a Clickbank Putting Guide in the sidebar!

I will not publish actual figures until its 30 days old… but suffice to say, for an 11 day old site with little to no marketing, its doing much better than I expected!

Q: How Much Traffic Does the Site Get?
A: Roughly 82 Daily Visits, 294 Daily Pageviews

I actually put up a site-meter link in the footer of the site last week at some point. Anyone can go in and look at the site stats, anytime. The averages in SiteMeter are lower than the actual Analytics numbers, since it was installed 4-5 days after the site was launched. Analytics shows 121 daily visits, 304 daily pageviews.

Q How Much of That Comes from This Site, or How Much from Search?
A: From this site, exactly 42 visitors this month. From search engines, 386 so far this month.

The majority of the traffic that came from this site came in the first couple days of talking about the contest, which was last month. While some of the site contest participants HAVE linked to it from their own sites, a large majority of the traffic is generated from search.

Q: Is the Site Ranking as You Expected?
A: Better than I expected at this point…

Q: How Has it Been Working BANS Again?
A: There have Been a Few Challenges

Overall, there is nothing at all wrong with working in BANS… but as I have been developing a second site of my own in a completely unrelated and obscure niche market, WordPress is much easier. You write your post reviews one time, and all the relationships occur automatically. At this point, I definitely prefer to use Wordpress for the time saving factor alone. That is only out of preference though… and i don’t expect one or the other to be any better for seo or any other factors.

I WILL use BANS on another site in the future as well… When used properly, its a good product!

When I get the new site to a certain point, I will put the link behind a password protected post on this site, and it will be sent out via email to subscribers. It will be the only way into the site to view the URL.

Q: How Many Backlinks have You Been Getting
A: Unfortunately, None.

Chasing links is BY FAR the biggest hurdle I fight myself over. Aside from a few links that have been bookmarked by others, Stumbles, and links from Facebook, I have done nothing! I have dropped that ball for now… and am working on fixing that as we speak!

The first thing I have done is ordered an inexpensive Press Release for the site. It cost me $15 on eBay, and includes the 350-500 word article, plus distribution to 55 press release sites. aka Article marketing. I HAVE used the same sellers service in the past with good results. Once it goes out, I will let you know how it goes and post a link to the service if anyone else wants to use it.

I HAVE subscribed to the “Forward and Backwards” methods in the N1Way Guide, but have yet to take enough time to follow through and actually do anything with it.

Its My Biggest Weakness…

Q: What is Your Favorite Part of the N1Way Guide So Far?
A: By Far, the “Step 9 – Treat it Like a Business Section“

I would suggest everyone STOP everything you are doing right now if you have not read this section! It actually puts everything into very clear perspective and tells you the same thing you have heard almost everywhere else… this $hit Aint Easy – BUT, if you stick to it… you will win!

My Best Advice for Anyone Struggling

Do Your Niche Research BEFORE you Build a Thing!
In the Infamous Word of Robert Kardashian – If the Niche Don’t Fit – Don’t Commit! (I know, but its something like that)

Focus on your Content Reviews FIRST!

Your site is nothing without the product content reviews… AFTER they are completed and posted, they will make up 80% of the other site content you need to put up! Build your site from the Bottom – Up!

Most Importantly… Do Not Get Hung Up on Numbers!

Since researching literally HUNDREDS of niche markets in the past couple weeks – DO NOT get hung up on Google search metrics at the top level of your Niche Market! Just because this site is named Golf Putter Guide, I am not targeting guides in any way shape, or form. My targets are the [BRANDNAME] Putter Reviews and [PRODUCTNAME] Putter Review.

Pay attention to your INDIVIDUAL PRODUCTS… they are what make you money!

Over the month or so that I have been talking about the Putter site being awarded in the contest, I have talked to several of you about your own sites, and the methods you are using to get them properly researched and launched. One of the suggestions I tell to tell everyone, is be careful about blogging it, or sharing the niche with others.

This has never been more true than with the Golf Putter Guide site!

Painting a Target On Your Back

Last night, I was running through some of the site pages and checking copyscape, just to see if any of the pages had been duplicated out on the web. I found that while none of the exact texts have been copied, there are a few new Golf Putter Review sites that popped up in the last few weeks and one in particular, is tripping the copyscape filters with very similar content.

When I decided to build the golf site, many of you may recall that I didn’t want to post the actual product pages, until they were live and ready for traffic. Anyone who knows their way around BANS would easily have known them, as you only need to force a 404 on the site to see the full index of pages.

Of the few I found, 1 of them has, literally, the EXACT pages as the putter guide site! Yup… same categories, same product review pages and in most cases, even the same product review titles! Its not a BANS site, but instead WordPress was used on the backend.

The moral of this story…

If you Blog about, or share your own projects in public domain, someone, somewhere… will take that project and try to make it their own!

In this case, there was no option to keep the niche private… so I may just have to do a little overdrive marketing on this one! which is GREAT for the site winner!

I have gotten every bit of 100 emails from readers asking HOW they can build their own sites. While the N1WAY Guide takes you all the way through this in section 1, it can still be rather intimidating on the first few efforts. To that end, I have done the starter research on the niche site mentioned below, and even if you know nothing about the market, it is a blueprint for you to use in getting a site started, built, and out there to start earning money!

My plan is to offer one of these build sheets on a random niche market at least once a month. If, after viewing the report below, you decide it would be helpful to get your own site off the ground, make sure you review the bottom of this post to learn how you can obtain one of these reports on a site of your own.

If you were not subscribed to receive updates from this site… you probably missed it! Subscribe Now and make sure you never miss another Hot Market!

Rank Spanker Niche Website Build Report

The Rank Spanker Report is a Blueprint for a new and available Niche Site Project. It is here for the first reader, interested in the market, to jump on and take!

Overall Market Segment: Sports > Golf

Niche Market – Mallet Putters

Average Selling Price: $46.00

Sell / Listing Rate: 53%

Highest Priced Items: 293.00

#Sold in last 90 Days: 4330

Terapeak is used for all historical sales and hot product target data.

Looking at those numbers, even if you only garnered 10% of the market, you stand to earn $165/month with this site. Just imagine if you get 30-50%!

Formula: 4330 divided by 3 = 1443 sales per month X 10% = 144 sales. 144 sales X $46 = $6624.00 total monthly sales. $6624 divided by 2.5% (average commission at ePN) = $165/mo affiliate commission!

Available Domain Names

The domains for this niche are currently available at GoDaddy. If it were myself, I would register #2, #3, and #6, as my top 3 choices for the site. I have placed lines through the three I would only use as secondary choices.

MALLETGOLFPUTTER. +COM

MALLETGOLFPUTTERS. +COM (Register)

GOLFMALLETPUTTERS.+COM (Register)

GOLFMALLETPUTTER.+COM

MALLETPUTTER.+NET

MALLETPUTTERS.+NET (Register)

Numbers 2 & 3 are perfect for the market segment, state exactly what the site is about, and have a good resale value due to the .com and targeted words in the domain name. I would jump on #6, simply because it is a high volume 2-word phrase, and will perform just as good as the others! I would even use the .net as my primary site, and use the two .coms as “parked domains”, pointing them to the same site.

5 Suggested Starter Guides for the Site

The starter guides for the site should be developed AFTER all of your review or product pages are in place. They will ultimately build themselves, and provide a great resource for the things people are looking for, that lead into your actual money earning product pages!

35+Product Review Pages to JumpStart The Site

This section outlines the MAIN CATEGORY PAGE and subsequent Putter Reviews that should be sub-pages of each. This list is ONLY a STARTING POINT for this site, and following the guide, you should begin adding new product reviews during your periodical review of the sites performance.

Do You Want Your Own Personalized RankSpanker Report?

I have helped many people over the years and FINDING THEIR STARTING POINT always seems to be the biggest challenge! The reason I am offering this service… is because so many people have told me I should! Researching the market takes every bit of 3-4 hours, and much longer if you don’t know where to start!

RankSpanker Report Contains:

Suggested Domain Name Options!

Suggested Page Structure!

At Least 5 Suggested Guide-Type Article Titles!

At Least 25 Suggested Review Products!

If you want a report delivered to your inbox, the cost is $89 $40, (Click to Order or Read More) and will deliver within 48 hours 3 business days (I had to stretch the time and increase the cost due to the demand). If the market you choose to pursue is NOT WORTHY for any reason, I will make suggestions to narrow it down and make it a much better market, or refund your money immediately!

The day has come… Today, I am making the site available for everyone to see and get accustomed to! If you have not entered the contest to win this site, you may want to get on it, before the entry list closes on August 31st, 2009! I have a feeling this one is going to do well… Go ahead and visit the Golf Putter Guide website today!

Giving this site away is not going to be easy! But since I nor Kim, or any of my kids can enter… someone is going to be lucky!

Which Template Did I Use?

One of my primary goals (aside from following the guide) for this site, was to keep it as close to what YOU could do yourself, just to show how easy it can be done with a little planning and patience! I originally started using the same theme Adam and Kelvin included in the N1WAY Guide, but after seeing the css file, abandoned it for the 1-both-right-blue theme. From there, it is actually very LITTLE customization!

I created the logo with some stock images from manufacturer websites, and the simply extended the header to a taller size to accommodate my needs. The header has a left and right side, to account for the logo on the left and the banner and welcome message on the right.

Aside from those basic changes… I just worked to adjust the widths to my own desire, and changed a few link and background colors in the css file.

Did I Change Anything from Out of the Box BANS?

Yes! There are a few things I try to do on all my BANS installs. One, is to add the site tagline to the title tag, as you can see in the top blue bar of your browser, and the meta-title of all pages. I added the phrase: Golf Putter Guides” into the correct places within the code, to make it automatically appear on every page. I will write a post about that within the next day or two, but it was very simple to to get done.

Along with the title tag change, I added a way to deal with the soft 404 issue in BANS, by coding a 404.php page into the theme. You can see it by clicking on any site link, then just adding some trash to the end of the URL, to force it to 404. You can read how to fix the soft 404 at the BANS Soft 404 issue page on the Niche Store Builder site.

It works roughly 99% of the time – and I can accept a 1% loss.

Where Am I at in the N1WAY Guide

Currently, I am in the middle of step 5, where its time to get some traffic into the site. To date:

24 Putter Reviews Done

22 reviews in the wings, waiting to post over the next 30 days

1 Completed Putting guide

3 guides in the wings waiting to post

39 Total pages live at launch (today)

25 in the Wings (first 30 days to go live)

In addition, as new reviews are created and made live, it opens a whole new realm of self-generating guides that will be posted on the site! More on this later…

Fixed costs… meaning I don’t have to spend for these again (and often, not this time since I already had them)

$24.95 N1WAY BANS Guide

$9.95/mo HostGator Hosting Plan (Already had it)

$97.00 Build a Niche Store (Already had it)

Site Specific Time and Costs

$16 – Domains: golfputterguide.com & golfputtersguide.com, each registered at GoDaddy for 1 year.

$82 – 25 launch review articles (future post on this)

$14 – Launch content (future post on this)

17 Hours of time!

Time into this site was another thing… I have more time than I hoped, but that is likely due to it being the first site based off the guide, and will get easier with each new site. As many of you recall, if I were to put a price tag on my own time, its $75/hour. A few days ago, someone asked how much I would charge to build their site for them… In this case, it would have been: $1387.00, as that is what I view as my initial investment in this site.

I have had a few emails asking how the new Contest Site is coming along… I just have to say, Marvelous!
You can see to the left, I have decided to create a simple and basic logo, that really just states what the site is about, and nothing much more! I really want to keep this as simple as possible, without causing any confusion to those of you who are following along and rebuilding or building a new site of your own following the Build a Niche Store guide.

You can see to the left, I have decided to create a simple and basic logo, that really just states what the site is about, and nothing much more! I really want to keep this as simple as possible, without causing any confusion to those of you who are following along and rebuilding or building a new site of your own following the Build a Niche Store guide.

Do We have a Launch Date Yet?

While I don’t have a definitive date on paper yet, you can expect to see a site launch within 7-10 days. The site itself will launch with 5 “Guides” and 20-25 “Product Reviews”, which are being written right now.

After the site is live, My goal is to follow along with the guide and trickle feed new content throughout the first 90 days, and supply the winner with a plan for new content they should add throughout the first year!

How Can You Keep Up?

If you have looked around this site at all, you may have spotted the sidebar status area, showing my time and money spent on this new site, as it accumulates. Someone will ask.. WHY are you spending money on the site if you are just giving it away? (OK, my wife will also ask)

The answer is simple… It would take me roughly 30-45 minutes to write each of the product reviews on my own, so what I have done is outsourced them! Many of you may recall, I value my own time at $75/hour, so spending a few dollars each for the articles is well worth it!

Site Contest Content Sponsors

While the product review pages themselves are pretty standard, there are other sections of the site that I truly want the utmost and highest quality content! I am in conversation with a few different places to become the content sponsor for these high quality articles, and before site launch, will reveal them to you!

The N1WAY Guide Price Freeze!

Many of you already have the guide, but for those who have not yet jumped aboard, the price change to $44 was eliminated! Kelvin and Adam decided to leave the price at $24, and let it fly!

Have You Got your Guide? Got Questions?

I have probably answered every bit of 100 email questions from users who may not understand specific areas of the guide completely. Is something stumping you? If so, post a comment below… lets tackle it together!
